He pursued blacksmithing, from his youth as a hobby and presented demos paired with “telling lies” atparks and festivals for many years. He also worked with Otto Cupler Torpedo Company in Titusville. As a licensed blaster and great lover of fireworks, he worked for 34 years with Fire Art Corporation in Clearfield as a “shooter” for shows and more recently Kellner’s in Harrisville. Prior to teaching, he worked at Quaker State Refinery in Emlenton, Pangborn Abrasives in Butler, and Electralloy in Oil City.
